Servie Introduction
Policyholders can apply for autopay for their own policy(ies) throught their owned local bank HKD account in Hong Kong. Once the autopay is successfully setup, the system will automatically debit the amount from the designated account, ensuring that the payment is received on time. This service is applicable for paying premium and levy payable.
If necessary, the policyholder may apply to reactiviate or cancel autopay.

FAQs & Important Notes

Only accept policy denominated in USD or HKD to set up aotopay. Autopay instruction is only applicable to HKD savings account which is opened by bank in Hong Kong and the autopay will be debited in HKD.

You can directly submit a new autopay instruction. After the new utopay instruction is set up, the original account will be automatically updated.

(Note: Until the new autopay instruction is successfully set up, please settle the premium and levy manually)

A joint account can be used to set up autopay. Please fill in all names and account number of the joint account on "Direct Debit Authorization" form and sign on the signature field. Please note that all account holders of the joint account must sign in person on the signature field.

After the company receives the online application from the customer or the duly completed and signed paper application, a notification will be sent to the policyholder advising the application is well received after the company finished the review and approval of the application. The account details will then be sent to the bank to set up autopay afterward, at this point, the autopay has not been established yet.

Subsequently, when the company receives confirmation from the bank that the autopay has been successfully established, the company will issue a confirmation letter to the policyholder, which advising about the successful setup of the autopay. At this time, the autopay is effective.

Yes, customer may set up/cancel/reactivate DDA through Overseas APP of China Life.

Set up DDA will not be accepted for policies under bankruptcy protection, Policyholder is an institution/organization, other policy services applications in progress, policies undergoing autopay deductions, policies without the Policyholder's english name.

Reactive autopay instruction application can only be accepted if two consecutive deduction attempts have failed, premiums are paid and policy is inforce.

Cancel autopay instruction application will not be accepted for policies using monthly premium payment mode, policies undergoing autopay deductions, other policy services applications in progress.

Online application will only accept Policyholder's bank account. Offline application(submitted via Form) will accept Policyholder/ Insured/ proposed Policyholder or proposed Insured to apply for direct debit authorization. If the bank account holder belongs to third party accepted by our company, please submit <<Third Party Payment Instruction Form (For Renewal Premium and Premium Levy Only)>> (if applicable) with <<Direct Debit Authorization>> to setup the autopay instruction.

Setting up autopay with credit card is not accepted.
