FAQs & Important Notes

No, the new policyholder must be immediate family members of the insured (spouse, parents, children, or siblings), extended family members (e.g., grandparents, siblings of parents, or parents of the spouse), creditors (limited to Hong Kong residents) or employers (limited to companies registered in Hong Kong).

Certified true copy of relationship proof between the new policyholder and the original policyholder is required if the new policyholder is a Mainland resident.

The company will process the change of insured first, followed by change of policy ownership transfer in general.

If the new policyholder is a Mainland resident, they are required to sign the "Important Facts Statement for Mainland Policyholder (IFS-MP)". If the transfer ownership application is submitted within the first year of the policy's effective date, the new policyholder must submit the ISF-MP in Hong Kong along with the immigration record. Hence, for the mentioned 2 scenarios, application cannot be submitted online but paper form.

Other forms of documentation or verification through legal channels to substantiate the relationship may be required for the relationship proof, such as notarization or affidavit.

Note: The notarized document or affidavit must clearly state the names and identification numbers of both parties and submitted in certified true copy.
