Service Introduction
During the lifetime, the policyholder can arrange to appoint a interim policyholder for the minor insured (under 18 years old); If the policyholder dies before the insured reaches the age of 18, the interim policyholder must apply for their own appointment within 90 days of the policyholder's death, and become interim policyholder upon approval by our company; the interim policyholder is able to exercise the restricted rights of the policy until the insured person reaches the age of 18.

No. The same policy does not accept the simultaneous appoinment of a "interim policyholder" and a "contingent policyholder"/ or "comtingent insured".

The application for "interim policyholder" is only applicable to those nominated products that have a policy custodian clause.

Yes. The customer can apply to change or terminate the "interim policyholder" by submitting the 'Application for Appoinment of Change or Termination of Interim Policyholder' while the policyholder is still valid and the policyholder is alive.

After becoming a "interim policyholder" of the policy, they will have restricted rights until the insured reaches 18 years of age. The restricted rights include:
1) Changing the mailing address or contact number of the "interim policyholder";
2) Applying for a reissue policy;
3) Applying for reinstatement of the policy;
4) Changing the method of paying premiums;
5) Enquiring about the status of the policy;
6) Paying premiums; and
7) Repaying the policy loan or automatic premium loan.
