CLI (Overseas) wins Silver Award in the Web Accessibility Recognition Scheme 2015

CLI (Overseas) announced that its corporate website (www.chinalife.com.hk) has been awarded for the Silver Award (Website Stream) in the Web Accessibility Recognition Scheme 2015, in recognition of the company' continuous efforts and accomplishments in adopting web accessibility for different users.

The annual recognition scheme was jointly organized by the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer and the Equal Opportunities Commission since 2013, which aims to make websites and mobile apps accessible and friendly to persons with special needs. The Awards Presentation Ceremony was held on 13 April 2015 to show appreciation to enterprises and organizations for making their websites accessible.

To achieve the Sliver Award in the Website Stream, CLI (Overseas) has fulfilled all 14 judging criteria listed under the sliver category to provide the public with required basic web accessibility features. In its corporate website, visitors can operate all the functions through a keyboard interface without using a mouse. Also, visually impaired users can resize the text up to 200% to facilitate their reading.
